Traditional Skills for Kids​

In this class series, children will get hands on experience as they tend the garden, create in the kitchen, follow the gentle rhythm of handwork, and explore the quiet wisdom of herbs. As their hands learn, their hearts will too - growing in kindness, patience, creativity, and the simple joy of meaningful work shared in community.

 

Sample activities include weaving, basket making, baking, butter churning, preparing herbal teas, plant propagation, fermentation, composting, embroidery, finger knitting, felting, and more.

 

Class details:

Ages: 7-12

Time: 3:30-5pm

Dates: Mondays, September 8th - December 15th (excluding Thanksgiving week)

Location: Mount Washington
