Kids Basketry Workshop
We will enjoy a beautiful day of weaving baskets in the garden while sipping herbal tea. Each child will craft their own unique basket to take home.
Basket weaving encourages patience, focus, creativity, and mindfulness, giving children a calm and engaging way to make something with their own hands.

Soft Fiber Basketry Workshop
Learn the ancient art of two-strand twining, one of the oldest basketry techniques. Using soft natural fibers, you’ll create a beautiful, functional basket. Beginners and experienced weavers welcome.

Traditional Skills for Kids​
In this class series, children will get hands-on experience as they tend the garden, work in the kitchen, create fiber art, and explore the quiet wisdom of herbs. As their hands learn, their hearts will too - growing in kindness, patience, creativity, and the simple joy of meaningful work shared in community.
Sample activities include weaving, basket making, baking, butter churning, preparing herbal teas, plant propagation, fermentation, composting, embroidery, finger knitting, felting, and more.

Science Classes: Botany & Plant Lab
In this class, students will dive into the living world of plants through hands-on exploration. We’ll study plant anatomy and function, uncover the hidden life in soil through chemistry and microbiology, and learn how to propagate plants from both seeds and cuttings. Students will experiment with composting and phytoremediation, discover how food webs connect all living things, and enjoy meaningful, hands-on garden and lab work each week.
